Simplify Media

So I just shared an article from Google Reader, you'll see this if you look at the little widget down and to the left of my Blogger blog page, about a new iPhone application called SimplifyMedia written by the company Simplify Media. If you create accounts with their service, you can install this application on the iPhone or iPod Touch and stream your own iTunes music to the devices. This is a very cool in and of itself, but what is even cooler is that you can also stream music from the iTunes libraries of friends who are also registered for this service. Very cool!

Active Year

This year has been pretty crazy so far. First, we had our trip to the Bahamas while at the same time visiting some of Tina's family that lives there in Florida and also catching the wedding of my buddy who lives out there as well. Then my parents drove out from Texas and we all (Ben, Pam, sister Tina, Tina, and myself) hung out at Pismo beach. We also flew up to Washington to kick it with Tina's parents, sisters, and some other family for the 4th of July holiday.

This is also a momentous year due to having finally upgraded to an HD TV (Toshiba Regza 42HL167), to having purchased a Nintendo Wii, and to having purchased the first generation of the iPhone June 29th on its launch date. I am living large baby!

This all seemed to snowball right after I changed my position at Indymac. I think I would have to say that this has been one of my best years so far and it is only half over! I am looking forward to the rest of the year.

Geek! What!

I have to be honest here. I am totally juicing over the arrival of the iPhone by Apple Inc. I cannot help it. Call me a fanboy if you like, but no one can deny the beauty in design and simplicity of the iPod that took the portable digital media device world by storm. Well, I believe that Apple could very well do the same thing within the cell phone world. The difference is that they will actually be taking the idea of the cell phone to a new level. We are talking about a phone that is running a full operating system creating the potential for a phone that is not only the first real phone and media entertainment device combined, but that could also essential double as your personal PC. How can that not be something exciting to consider!?
